Okay. I just finished watching Six Feet Under and I was compelled to make this. It's far from perfect [timing and also the ratio it seems now o.o] but it's my first version and second AMV.

Right now, cidercupcakes is hosting nominations for a poll on favourite female characters. Looking through the comments and seeing all of those amazing women has reminded me that I do not write nearly enough about them. I have a few things to sort out at the moment, but when I'm finished with those I'll have to post a female-character-centric ficsnippet-request meme. In the meantime, go and vote!


The ninth volume of Fullmetal Alchemist managed to make me cry all over again about an event that occurred five volumes ago. THANKS, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST. THANKS. I should never have started reading the manga; my heart had just about healed after the anime three years ago, and then Volume Four came along and ripped it open again, and now it's just poking it with a stick to see what happens.

In other Fullmetal Alchemist-related news, I think I love Major Armstrong. He is ridiculous, yes, but he is so good-hearted. I would give him a hug were it not guaranteed to land me in hospital. (Also, you know, were it physically possible.)

And I sort of want to write unrequited Roy/Hughes. This, of course, raises the 'how can I accurately capture their voices in writing when I've only heard them speaking Japanese?' issue. I hope I can find a way around that, because it is Roy's unrequited love for Hughes and I really, really want it to exist. See, Fullmetal Alchemist: you're not the only one who can torment your characters.


Finally, because of course I was thinking about it: if Roy Mustang had a Pokémon, it would be a Flareon. I have no idea about any other Fullmetal Alchemist characters, though. Perhaps the military issues Pokémon to its members, in which case Roy would probably assign Ed a Steel-type, just to annoy him.

So apparently "Dead Fantasy III" came out and it was not as epic as I thought it would be. Still, really nicely done though.

Commentary Notes: Before we get cracking, I'd like to say the following: I can't even begin to remember what online challenge I wrote this for originally, I tend to ramble like a drunk old Englishwoman (and I'm always at least one of those things, so), this fic got Jossed to Hell in later episodes, and um... that's about it.

0. With regards to formatting; original fic is italicised, and comments are preceded by bolded numbers (like so!) so if anyone wants to pick on any particular point they don't have to copy-paste the whole thing unless they want to :).

Dear fandom forum #1:

Please stop acting like worth is measured by how much fic a person writes. Being "prolific" does not make your opinion sacred, and it does not put you on some special rank of fandom above the people who churn out very little fic, or even none at all. Writing is not the only valid way to be a fan. Get over yourselves.

Please stop acting like people who post fic should "stop showing off and interact with the community." Fic is not a magical thing that just appears naturally on a writer's hard drive without any work on their part. And the effort that it takes to think up a story and write it down is a way of interacting with a community - or, at least, reaching out to one, and hoping someone will reach back instead of being derisive about it.

An actual update on my life I think, lol.

Right now I'm working full time on my job and it seems like more and more, I'm doing night shifts because no one else wants them- I want them, I like night shifts. It doesn't feel like such srs bzns as the morning does but we have a new manager. New manager without a doubt is the rudest man I've ever met.

Seriously.

But whatever about him, I don't work with him today but for the rest of the week I do and it should be interesting. He makes me nervous and just frustrated. He's like a cog in a machine you just add in to replace the old and that cog refuses to work in tandem with the rest of everything and just disrupts everything. Once school starts up at the end of next month though, I won't even worry about the him. He's not important to me.

The whole cash for clunkers deal that the government put through couldn't have come at a better time, I was considering getting a car and magically this pops up and makes me really happy. xD I could get either 3500 or 4500, either would be great really. I'm aiming for a toyota yaris but my dad wants to take me around first and have me look at other small cars. o: I've saved close to a thousand right now but if he gets me a good enough deal, I won't have to use all of it on a down payment and suddenly I'll be rich for about five seconds before I go shopping crazy.

I got Xbox LIVE and I don't even have an Xbox. My username is the same as my psn - skysugar ♥ My score is horrible because I've been second player on my friend's account for months. :/

Previously in Brookwood, Neeja Asaan broke things off for good with her married boyfriend, Benjamin Beaupre, and moved in with her new love interest, Frankie Hamilton. She also gave birth to a baby boy, Omid, and her first born Faiz grew into the most adorable child ever. Benjamin's wife Evelyn finally caught him in the act and moved out, leaving Benjamin with the house. He couldn't afford it, so he moved into a shitty apartment where he then seduced as many women as possible. After a long courtship, Ernie Corsini finally married his true love, Mabel Dillon, only to have her die as soon as they got home from their honeymoon. Evelyn moved in with Benjamin's best friend, Caleb Dillon, where she raised her son Aiden. Benjamin came over regularly to visit his boy, and he is slowly building his relationship back up with his ex wife. Carol Jensen and Bert East were forced to relocate Bert's Antiques, and bought a huge warehouse loft with plenty of room for the kids. Carol gave birth to another boy, Connor, and Jensen grew into an interesting looking child. At La Fiesta Tech, Dalton Corsini was a huge player and brought home all kinds of girls. Emile Beaupre and Bryden Corsini moved in together, and Emile was pretty set on the idea of getting married in the near future. Norah Beaupre went on a great date with Sullivan, and decided to keep him. Teagan Dillon and Isaac Beaupre still had eyes only for each other, barring one small incident between Teagan and Isaac's twin brother, Emile. Vanessa Beaupre pushed Avery Fay, the young witch, to the edge, and Avery had Vanessa turned into a vampire. Riley Dillon spent most of his time trying to make friends with people, but managed to find himself a girl - Caity, who is totally adorable.
